Willunga Courthouse Reserve
The Willunga Courthouse Reserve (area: 1.8 ha) consists of two distinct sections.
The courthouse grounds reflect European settlement, with the heritage listed former courthouse and police station buildings, and evidence of other land-use by early settlers and their successors.
The nature reserve on the opposite side of the creek represents an aspect of the natural, pre-European landscape of Willa-ungga (place of green trees), as known by the Kaurna people who inhabited the area between the hills and the coast.
The Reserve can be enjoyed by strolling around the buildings and across the bridge to the walking trail, which circles up and back through hillside woodland. Allow approximately 30 minutes return.
History
When the police station was operational, the Reserve was used as a pasture for police horses.

61 High Street, Willunga. At the top end of High Street, past the Bush Inn, at the foot of the Old Willunga Hill.
