Wellington Courthouse
The Courthouse consists of a courtroom, police station and two cells, stables and loft, post and telegraph office and residential areas. The Museum hold records which historians can peruse.
It has a tranquil courtyard which is a wonderful place to enjoy real coffee or tea.
It now operates as a heritage bed and breakfast, with rooms situated in old ferryman's quarters facing the river, decorated with old world charm. Shared bathroom. Continental breakfast provided. Family accommodation available.
The Courthouse is fully licensed and can cater for up to 120 people for wedding functions, parties, conferences, etc in the courtyard.
History
The Courthouse complex was built in 1864 and is at the site of South Australia's first ferry crossing on the Murray River.
